Going on a picnic, tailgate party, or fishing? Don't waste money on bags of ice to cool the cooler. Simply rinse out and fill a few plastic 2 liter pop bottles with tap water and freeze. These work nice in the cooler. The solid filled bottles last longer than ice cubes. The great bonus to this method is that the cooler no longer leaks water or has water in the bottom ruining your food. These bottles can be refrozen over and over. If space is an issue you can use 20 oz. nonreturnable bottles. This is a great way to reuse those plastic bottles and save a few bucks.
