Driveway Lighted Pumpkins

Here is a great way to decorate your driveway or walkway for halloween and recycle your gallon milk jugs at the same time. If you have either the solar or electrical walkway lights lining your walks or driveway we can make these cool pumpkin covers. If not you can still make these and just fill the jugs with sand or gravel.

  • Take Orange paint and spray entire milk jugs. You should always paint outdoors or in a well vented area. Allow jugs to dry completely.
  • Take the black spray paint and make Jack o'Lantern faces on the jug. You can make a cardboard stencil if you want to be more specific on the faces.
  • With the sissors or small knife cut a whole in the bottom of the jugs to allow them to slip over your lawn lights. If you are just sitting them out on the edge of the walkway or driveway without the lights don't cut the whole. Simply fill the jugs part way with sand or gravel to prevent them from blowing away.
  • If your lawn/driveway lights are solar make sure you leave the cap off the jugs or cut a whole to expose the solar panel to light.
